Pizza Hut Student Meal: Discounts, Deals & Prices (2025)
Few things make student life feel less like a maths problem than a decent discount on pizza. Pizza Hut runs student offers in several countries, but the details differ sharply by channel and by day of the week — the UK gets a percentage off, Singapore gets fixed lunch prices, and delivery deals add another layer.
Pizza Hut student discount (UK): 20% off food Sunday to Thursday (excluding Deals and Buffet) ·
UNiDAYS free pizza offer: Free small Margherita when you spend £10 ·
UNiDAYS 50% off pizzas: 50% off pizzas when you spend £15 ·
Singapore student meal starting price: $3.90 (weekdays 11am–5pm, dine-in/takeaway) ·
Singapore student meal range: Personal Pan Pizza ($3.90), Melts ($6.50), Baked Pasta/Rice ($7.90)

“With our 20% Student Discount off food (excluding Deals and Buffet), available Sunday to Thursday”
— Pizza Hut UK FAQ
Six student-meal numbers, one pattern: the UK discount is a percentage that restricts the week, while Singapore runs fixed prices that restrict the clock.
“Student meal deals from $3.90, which includes Personal Pan Pizza, Melts at $6.50 and Baked Pasta/Rice at $7.90 till 5pm on weekdays”
— Facebook post – Pizza Hut Singapore

Do Pizza Hut have a student discount?
Yes — in the UK, the discount is real and documented. Pizza Hut UK’s student-discount page leads with the offer: 20% off food for students, valid Sunday to Thursday, excluding Deals and Buffet (Pizza Hut UK (official restaurant site)). In Singapore, the student offer is a fixed-price weekday lunch rather than a percentage discount.
20% Student Discount Details (UK)
- 20% off food at Pizza Hut UK restaurants
- Valid Sunday to Thursday
- Excludes Deals and Buffet
- Presented as an ongoing offer, not a limited-time meal bundle
MoneySavingExpert confirms the shape of the deal, noting NUS Extra cardholders can get 20% off full-menu prices at Pizza Hut restaurants Sunday to Thursday, subject to restrictions (MoneySavingExpert (consumer-money site)).
The implication: the UK student discount is a genuine percentage deal, but its value depends on the day — Sunday to Thursday is the window, and Deals and Buffet sit outside it.
How to Access the Student Discount
- Verify your student status through UNiDAYS, StudentBeans, or an NUS Extra card
- Book a table at a Pizza Hut restaurant rather than ordering delivery
- Order food from the main menu on a Sunday–Thursday visit
- Present verification before ordering, not at the till
- Check the UNiDAYS portal for delivery-side offers if ordering online
Verification happens before you order. Pizza Hut UK’s student-discount page is the starting point. The verified status then carries into the Sunday–Thursday window.
The takeaway: the discount is tied to verification, so a valid university email or student ID is the real currency.
Student Discount on Delivery vs Dine-in
A UK student who orders delivery expecting 20% off may be in for a surprise, because Pizza Hut associates the student discount with its restaurants, not its Delivery stores.
The delivery route is different. Pizza Hut UK’s own materials associate the 20% student offer with restaurants, and no official page in the sources reviewed confirms the same 20% on delivery orders. For delivery, the documented discounts run through the UNiDAYS portal instead — the same platform that verifies student status.
The trade-off: the restaurant discount is the headline, but delivery students should treat UNiDAYS as their main lever — and check it before checkout, not after.
Upsides
- Clear 20% off regular menu items at restaurants
- Consistent window: Sunday–Thursday every week
- No time-limited codes needed for dine-in
- NUS Extra cards and UNiDAYS all accepted
Downsides
- Delivery gets different terms — no 20% off
- Deals and Buffet excluded from student pricing
- UNiDAYS delivery deals have minimum spends
Is there a 50% off code for Pizza Hut?
No stand-alone 50% off coupon shows up in the official sources reviewed. The 50% discount that students ask about runs through the UNiDAYS portal as a delivery-side offer, activated by a minimum spend.
50% Off Pizza Deals
- UNiDAYS members: 50% off pizzas when you spend £15
- UNiDAYS members: free small Margherita when you spend £10
- No public 50% off discount code confirmed from Pizza Hut’s official pages
“Free small Margherita when you spend £10” and “50% off Pizzas when you spend £15”
— UNiDAYS Pizza Hut Delivery offers
Pizza Hut’s student-discount page points students to UNiDAYS, where the current Pizza Hut Delivery offers include 50% off pizzas on a £15 spend and a free small Margherita on a £10 spend (Pizza Hut UK (official site)). These are threshold-based offers, not codes you can paste at checkout.
The implication: a “50% off” headline with a £15 minimum spend is different from a coupon — the discount kicks in only at the threshold.
Validity and Restrictions
- Minimum spend applies before the 50% discount triggers
- Which pizzas qualify is not fully detailed in the sources reviewed
- Deal and bundle items are typically excluded
Exactly which pizzas count toward the 50% offer is not spelled out in the pages reviewed. The pattern across Pizza Hut’s UK offers is that Deals and Buffet sit outside the student pricing, so assume promotional bundles are a separate lane.
The catch: the headline discount narrows at checkout, so the £15 threshold and the item exclusions do the real work.
How to get a free Pizza Hut pizza without paying?
“Free” at Pizza Hut comes with strings attached. The only clearly documented route in the sources reviewed is a free small Margherita on a £10 spend through UNiDAYS; birthday freebies are a local and inconsistent story.
Free Pizza on Your Birthday
- Some locations advertise a free birthday treat
- No official nationwide program details confirmed in the sources reviewed
- Terms vary by country and by franchise
Birthday freebies are a recurring question, but the sources reviewed do not confirm a consistent Pizza Hut policy. The birthday question shows up across deal forums, and the silence from official pages is telling: if a free birthday pizza exists, it is a local franchise decision rather than a national student perk.
The upshot: if a free birthday pizza is the goal, ask your local outlet directly — no national promise shows up in the current materials.
Free Pizza with Qualifying Spend
- Free small Margherita when you spend £10 at Pizza Hut Delivery
- Available through the UNiDAYS portal for verified students
- Same portal also carries 50% off pizzas on a £15 spend
The free small Margherita is the most concrete free-pizza route in this brief — and it is a threshold reward, not a giveaway.
The pattern: £10 in, one small Margherita out.
Other Free Pizza Opportunities
- No official “free without purchase” program documented in the sources reviewed
- New-member offers and loyalty freebies are not confirmed for students in this brief
- Aggregator posts occasionally mention gifts and vouchers, but none is verified here
The honest read: the sources reviewed do not document a way to get a Pizza Hut pizza for nothing. Every confirmed free-item offer in this brief requires a minimum spend or a local promotion that lacks official detail.
What is the best deal at Pizza Hut?
The answer changes by country. In Singapore, the best deal is a fixed-price student lunch; in the UK, it is either the 20% restaurant discount or the weekday buffet.
Student Meal Deals (Singapore)
- $3.90 — Personal Pan Pizza
- $6.50 — Melts
- $7.90 — Baked Pasta/Rice
- Weekdays 11am–5pm, dine-in and takeaway options differ by listing
HungryCat lists the Singapore student promotion starting at $3.90 for a Personal Pan Pizza, with Melts at $6.50 and Baked Pasta/Rice at $7.90, available weekdays from 11am to 5pm (HungryCat (Singapore deals blog)). Confirm Good lists the student meal at $5.90 and describes it as dine-in only with a free-flow drink (Confirm Good (student-deals guide)). GOBACKTO.SCHOOL lists the window as 11am–2pm and requires showing a student ID (GOBACKTO.SCHOOL (deal aggregator)).
The pattern: three sources agree on weekday lunch availability, but disagree on exact price and whether takeaway is included.
Buy One Get One Free Offers
- No specific buy-one-get-one-free day is confirmed in the official sources reviewed
- Social-media posts and deal forums occasionally mention BOGO offers, but no consistent day or schedule is documented
- Pizza Hut UK’s offers page does not list a recurring BOGO promotion
The question of a buy-one-get-one-free day at Pizza Hut comes up often, but the sources reviewed do not confirm a standing offer. If a BOGO deal exists, it is likely local or time-limited.
The implication: do not assume a BOGO day exists without checking your local Pizza Hut’s current promotions.
Current Promotions under $10
- Singapore student meals start at $3.90, well under $10
- UK weekday lunch buffet at £10.99 is just over the $10 threshold at current exchange rates
- UK student discount (20% off) can bring menu items under £10 depending on what you order
The “under $10” question is easiest to answer in Singapore, where the student lunch menu starts at $3.90. In the UK, the 20% discount is the main lever for keeping costs down, but exchange rates and menu prices mean results vary.
The takeaway: Singapore is the market where sub-$10 student meals are guaranteed; in the UK, it depends on order size and discount application.
| Market | Best student deal | Key restriction | Price floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK (dine-in) | 20% off main menu | Sunday–Thursday, excludes Deals | varies |
| UK (delivery) | UNiDAYS 50% off pizzas | Min £15 spend | varies |
| Singapore | Fixed-price lunch | Weekdays 11am–5pm | $3.90 |
Is Pizza Hut cheaper than Domino’s?
The sources reviewed do not provide a direct price comparison between Pizza Hut and Domino’s student offers. Both chains run student discounts, but the details are market-specific and the data does not line up for a clean head-to-head.
Price Comparison of Student Meals
- Pizza Hut UK student discount: 20% off restaurant menu Sunday–Thursday
- Domino’s student offers exist but are not covered in this brief
- Singapore: Pizza Hut student meals from $3.90; Domino’s student pricing in Singapore is not documented here
Both chains target students with discounts, but the format differs — Pizza Hut uses percentage-off and fixed-price meals, while Domino’s tends to run bundle-based offers.
The implication: a direct price comparison is not possible from the data collected here, because the offers work on different terms and in different windows.
Value for Money Factors
- Pizza Hut UK: 20% off is a simple discount with clear exclusions
- Domino’s typically offers percentage-off codes and bundle deals through student portals
- In Singapore, Pizza Hut’s fixed $3.90 meal is a clear price anchor; Domino’s comparable offer is not documented
The unresolved question: which chain gives better value depends on what you order, when you order, and whether you are dining in or getting delivery. No single answer emerges from the data reviewed.
The honest read: students should compare both chains’ current offers in their local market at the time of ordering, because neither chain maintains a permanent price advantage across all items and channels.
